How to Create a Text Template

Text Templates are here to make your life easier! When you create a text template, you will have access to send the template (canned text) to a single contact, pipeline deal card, and build texts into Automation quickly.

Step 1

Click on "Templates." on the left-hand side of the system.

Step 2

Click the blue "New Template" button on the top right of the Templates page.

Step 3

Click the dot to the right of the "Text" option.

*Note: The dot will turn blue when you make your selection. The blue dot will always be on the email selection by default.

Step 4

  1. Title

    1. Place your cursor into the Title field and add the title.

      *Note: Remember that you will be searching for this title when you insert a Text Template into a Text or Automation. This title is NOT Contact-facing.

  2. Content

    1. This is where you will add information you share with the recipient/s of the text.

      *Note: You will also be able to insert Material, Emojis, Calendly links, and Custom Merge Fields to help you personalize the message.

  3. Bottom Right Icons

    1. Play Icon

      1. Click the "Play" icon at the bottom right of the Text Template to insert Material.

    2. Emoji Face

      1. Click the "Emoji Face" icon to add emojis to the text content.

      2. Click the Emoji you want to insert.

      3. Click the "Emoji Face" icon again to close the emoji menu.

    3. Gray "C" Icon

      1. If synced with Calendly, click the "Gray C" icon to insert an event link.

    4. Three Lines+ icon for Custom Merge Field

      1. Place your cursor where you want to add the Custom Merge Field to personalize the Text Template.

      2. Click the "Three-line" icon.

      3. Click to select the Custom Merge Field and insert it into the Text Template.

    Step 5

    Click the blue "Create" button to save the Text Template or click "Cancel" to abandon creating the Text Template.
