How Community Owners Share Contacts from within a Community

This article will outline how a Community Owner can Share Contacts from within a Community they presently have open for review.

*Note: Be sure to communicate your expectations for the Community Members to follow up with accepted Contacts.

Step 1

From the open Community, click the "More" button at the top right of the page.

Step 2

Click on "Share Contact."

Step 3

A "Share Contact/s" pop-up menu will appear with a "sharing to" "Community name" in blue just underneath.

Step 4

Click the dropdown menu for "Search Member."

Step 5

Click to Select "Round Robin" or a specific "Community Member."

*Note: Round Robin evenly distributes contacts to all community members as they are shared with the community.

Step 6

Click the dropdown menu for "Search Contacts."

Step 7

Keyword search for a Contact in your database, and click on it when you have the Contact you want to share.

*Note: The selected Contact/s appears underneath the Search Contacts field with an "X" to the right of the Contact Name. This allows you to remove the Contact from being shared before clicking the blue "Share" button.

Step 8

When you have completed adding Contact/s to the list, click the blue "Share" button to complete the action or "Close" to abandon the action.
